This sector comprises of Sampling
coordinators, Pattern Master , cutting master and Tailors
besides freelance designers. Its main objective is to prepare sample
ranges for the coming seasons keeping in mind various colour- design
projections and buyer-market demands. It also meets various
requirements of the buyers in the product development.
This department is headed by a
well-qualified and experienced Production Manager who is assisted
by a team of professionals comprising of cutting master,
Line supervisors, quality controllers and others.
Department is well equipped with
latest machines, gadgets and attachments to ensure the
exacting and demanding standards of present market.
Production is done on 60 machines based on 2x10
basis assembly line system unless required
otherwise due to type of garments.
In this department also, latest machines and equipment are
used to deliver the required merchandise. Besides normal
washing, pressing etc., various special processes like "Enzyme
wash, Acid wash, Alkali wash etc.‚ are
developed and carried out in house. Product is checked by well experienced
checkers under the guidance of experienced supervisor for
any defects before the goods are packed.
Considering the gaining momentum on quality
aspects by the actual users of end product, the
company has introduced various quality controls as
indicated in ISO 9002‚ procedures concerning
garment trade including AQL specifications.
Besides a strict selection of
vendors and material procurement, tests are initiated from raw
materials e.g. Greige fabric stage itself. To name a few, Greige fabrics
are checked according to 2 point system and Grantiville system
as approved by AAMA, U.S.A. for weaving. Processed
fabrics are checked for colour fastness,
printing defects and presence of various Azoic Amines (if required).
All patterns before being released for production are dummy checked.
Raw materials including thread are checked for strength , colour
fastness etc. for which we have an in-house mini-lab for testing.
To carry out above tests, besides in
house facilities, we also use independent laboratories- S.G.S., Texanlab
and Intertek Testing Services.
Garments at stitching stage and later are
continuously monitored for measurements, fit and finishing.
